Metal mesh is an industrial product that is not quickly appreciated for its aesthetics, but rather for its functionality. However, there is much potential in the production of mesh. Instead of using mesh solely for fences outdoors, I bring it indoors as a beautiful piece of furniture where the mesh serves both aesthetic and functional purposes.

I express this by designing a furniture collection with mesh.

The mesh fascinates me because of the way the lines move and intertwine, creating an intriguing structure. The wires have a flexible, rounded, and fabric-like appearance, which is very captivating in contrast with the hard and robust metal. With these side table, coffee table and fruit bowl, I bring these contrasts together: the soft, flexible appearance with a material that is more hard and rigid. This contrast creates a new experience with existing mesh.
